Owerri is a Nigerian city. Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team stated on Tuesday that Kanu’s release was already getting traction. Kanu is the jailed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB.

After meeting with Kanu at the Directorate of State Services (DSS) detention facility in Abuja last Monday, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the IPOB’s principal counsel, gave the statement in Owerri.

He said that the victory was inevitable because of the “gains achieved” during the last court appearance before the Federal High Court in Abuja.

“On the 11th Day of April 2022, our Court-Ordered regular visit to our amiable Client – Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was undertaken,” he said. Gains from the previous court appearance were recognized, congratulated, and consolidations on the gains were made for the future court hearing the legal assault was thoroughly investigated.

“During last Friday’s trip, Onyendu was happy to witness such a large crowd of Ezigbo UmuChineke in the area of the court, as you all thronged in support.” He seemed really delighted and grateful.

“Onyendu expressed his gratitude to you all for your peaceful conduct and unity.” He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who chose to stand shoulder to shoulder with him in solidarity, despite the financial losses that come with closing their various businesses on that particular day.

“Onyendu acknowledges the immeasurable, unequal, and immense sacrifices that have been made, and he is eternally grateful to you all.” This step will be completed soon. Onyendu made it obvious that your efforts are not in vain, and he prayed to God Almighty for abundant blessings and a thousandfold replenishment of this tremendous contribution.”

“Onyendu is confident that the coast is clearing and that his liberty will arrive soon.” As their struggle for Onyendu’s freedom gained traction, Onyendu urged everyone, including his fans, followers, and all Ezigbo UmuChineke, to remain focused.

“You can rest assured that your prayers are having a positive impact. As a result, Ezigbo UmuChineke, please do not give up or despair, for the war will certainly end in victory. Onyendu congratulated Ezigbo UmuChineke for their remarkable display of discipline, fortitude, and sacrifice thus far, and encouraged you all to keep up the good work,” Ejiofor said.
