According to PUNCH Online, Quangrong was charged with culpable homicide in the death of his girlfriend, Buhari. He, however, denied killing her on purpose and begged Kano State High Court Judge Sunusi Ado Ma’aji to err on the side of mercy.
In his testimony on Tuesday, Quangrong stated that in September 2022, after his girlfriend allegedly grabbed his testicles, he stabbed her in self-defense.
“I didn’t kill Ummulkhulsum intentionally but stabbed her in self-defence after she grabbed my testes,” Ouangrong said.
