NNPC refutes rumors of changing the price of gasoline and diesel

Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has denied the rumors that they will be changing the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS), also referred to as gasoline, at its retail locations across the country.

In response to speculation that the price of gasoline would drop from N568 to N560 per liter and that the price of diesel would rise to N920 per liter, NNPC made clear its stance in a statement released on Wednesday.

The NNPC spokesperson, Femi Soneye, underlined that the company hasn’t changed the cost of gasoline or diesel.

The statement said: “NNPC Limited would like to dispel rumors that it will be changing the price of automotive gas oil (diesel) and premium motor spirit (PMS) at its retail locations across the country.

The company calls on Nigerians to completely ignore these reports, claiming them to be untrue.

“NNPC Ltd reiterates its dedication to maintaining the current level of supply sufficiency in petroleum products for all of its retail stations throughout the nation.
