WhatsApp Reveals New Event Organization Feature for Communities

WhatsApp has made it convenient for its users within the community to organize events using the Whatsapp app.

This Introduction was announced on Wednesday, and it is to help users plan events like birthdays, get-togethers, bridal showers, scheduling a PTA meeting, and many others simply by creating and managing events within the group.

This new feature helps anyone in the community group to create an event and allows others to RSVP, indicate attendance, and give them an overview of who plans to attend and the event date.

However, this new feature will only be available to groups associated with a community and with time extend to others in the coming months.

The ability for users to reply directly to Announcement group messages has also been introduced by WhatsApp in addition to the event organization feature.

This feature enables the Administrators of the Announcement group communities to send out updates directly, which now supports threaded replies and in return helps the users engage in discussions.

This means replies will be collected which allows the users to see who else responded and in return, they won’t get notifications about each reply. This ensures that the Announcement Group isn’t disorderly and also helps the administrators know what their members’ opinions are.

The communities feature was released back in November, with the aim of allowing school associations, hobbyists, neighborhoods, and many more to connect by allowing the admins to gather up to 50 groups in one community at a time,

Whatsapp has declared its commitment to introduce new enhancements and features in the approaching months.
