Abuja is experiencing a blackout due to a defective 33kV feeder.

This power outage is causing inconvenience to many people in the affected areas, who are unable to use electrical appliances and devices. It is also disrupting businesses and causing financial losses. The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has apologized for the inconvenience and assured customers that their technical team is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. They have also advised customers to conserve energy and use alternative sources during the outage.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and we appreciate your understanding and patience during this time,” the statement partially reads. Despite this, the company has successfully restored power to several areas in Abuja that were previously experiencing outages, including Kapwa Village, Kapwa Ruga, Legislative Institute, Piwoyi Village, and Back of Dunamis.
