NFF Begins Search for New Super Eagles Golden Eaglets Head Coaches

Two weeks after Jose Peseiro (Former head coach of the Super Eagles) resigned, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) began its search for a new coach.

Peseiro, who guided Nigeria to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) championship in February.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), they said: “Attention and accomplished football coaches! A visionary leader is needed to take charge of the Super Eagles coach position”.

Since his departure, the football organization announced on Friday that there will be a search for another coach in replacement of  Peseiro which was accepted.

Requirements needed for the new Super Eagles coach

The National Team of Nigeria, known as the Golden Eaglets, is looking for a committed and experienced coach who is enthusiastic about youth development.
Coaches who possess the necessary qualifications and success managing football at the highest level are encouraged to apply to the NFF including:

• A proven track record of team leadership
• The New Super Eagles coach must have a track record of successfully overseeing football at the greatest level.
• Ability to inspire and aid in player’s improvement
• Super Eagles coach will also need to have a proven track record of winning teams, and while it is not required, knowing African football will be a big plus.
• Must have a CAF license
