Police investigate death of female baker in Lagos

In today’s news – A lifeless body of a female baked Tina Ileogben was discovered in her room, and the Lagos State Police Command has announced that it has started an investigation into her death.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the command, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday.

According to Hundeyin, the deceased’s remains had been transported by representatives of the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit to the Mainland General Hospital in Yaba so that an autopsy could be performed.

He claimed that on Wednesday, the deceased’s coworker Akeem and her landlord reported the incident to the Dopemu Police Division.

The report was filed after her lifeless body was found at her home on Olowo Street in the Lagos State neighborhood of Dopemu, Agege, and Alhaja Shifiwa.

He said that because the deceased lived close to the company, a senior staff member on duty gave him the order to check up on her after a coworker reported that she was missing from work.

“When Akeem arrived, her room was empty. He and the deceased’s two neighbors went inside and found her lifeless, nude body in a pool of blood with a cut around her neck.

“An investigation is in progress, but there has been no incident involving the deceased’s purportedly missing heart,” stated Hundeyin.

The deceased’s older sister, Justina, told reporters that her sister had allegedly been sexually assaulted before her death.

Justina pushed the command to find the suspect or suspects behind her sister’s death, demanding justice from the police. (NAN)
