Ijele was detained by Nigerian police after accusing Evangelist Ebuka Obi of performing fake miracles

Popular social media influencer, Ijele called the pastor a liar and labeled all of his miracles as lies in his widely shared post, calling on the police to detain him for converting his place of worship into a for-profit company.

He accuses Evangelist Ebuka Obi, Mr. Chizorom Harrison Ofoegbu, also known as Ijele Speaks II, is a well-known Nigerian netizen on social media who is being held by the Nigeria Police Force.

Ijele called the pastor a liar and labeled all of his miracles as lies in his widely shared post, calling on the police to detain him for converting his place of worship into a for-profit company.

“Have we abolished the 4(19) of our criminal code, dear @Lagos PoliceNG cc @BenHundeyin and our Ministry of Justice?” he wrote.

“How long will people be allowed to be duped by this thief Ebuka Obi? Does he defy the law? So, any criminal would be free to say whatever they want when they wake up and go to paradise because… Pastor?

“And these are the individuals whose places of business function as polling places. They will assist in manipulating elections so that politicians can benefit from them during their terms in office. If you do not give them some public funds, they will tell their sheep that God has taken away your glory and that you will not be able to win the next election.

“Set up, Master Ebuka Obi.” Your hoax is about to end.

Ijele was then invited to the Abuja police station about a reported case of criminal intimidation, life threat, cyberstalking, and cyberbullying against the pastor.

“This office is investigating an alleged case of Criminal Intimidation, Threat to Life, Cyber Stalking, Cyber Bullying, Conduct Likely to Cause the Breach of Peace in which your name featured prominently,” states the petition letter that SaharaReporters was able to obtain.

“Considering the aforementioned, you are cordially invited to an interview with the Assistant Inspector-General of Police at the Zone 7 Police Headquarters in Abuja on March 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the latest, via the Officer-in-Charge of the Crack Squad.”

Ijele accepted the invitation from the police, but they wouldn’t let him go. He was then brought to the Keffi Correctional Centre in Nasarawa State on Friday morning, according to information obtained by SaharaReporters.

The police officer stated that no information would be released on the subject unless our correspondent showed up at their office in Abuja when SaharaReporters called the number on the invitation letter.
