Speaking at His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan, Prince Hiro Naruhito’s 64th birthday celebration in Abuja, the Deputy Speaker provided the assurance.

In a statement released on Friday in Abuja, his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Levinus Nwabughiogu, said that Kalu valued the long-standing diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Japan.

Urging the Asian nation—as well as the international community—to take advantage of the current administration’s opportunities and increase investment in Nigeria.

I do not doubt that he will persuade many of them in Japan to accept foreign direct investments now that a soft landing has been established. The President pledges his willingness to see to it that every obstacle is eliminated.

The parliament is willing to make necessary adjustments to the laws to ensure that they provide greater confidence to investors, particularly those from Japan and that no legislative obstacle will prevent them from investing in our country.

“Let’s ensure that this partnership lowers our unemployment rate by fostering innovation brought about by Japanese technology. Innovation challenges convention and ushers in a higher level of productivity.

“It’s about time we have a strategic relationship with Japan to be able to produce more food for our people to drive away hunger,” Kalu stated.
